I'm pretty sure the show wasn't live but the winner of the America's Got Talent was just announced on the show on Star World. Watching this show, I couldn't help thinking about how cheap and lame the whole thing was, compared to the American Idol, an immensely popular reality show that I already found a little lame.
First, let's look at the judges. I don't have comments for the other two, but for Piers Morgan. Although seeming somehow comparable to Simon Cowell of the American Idol, to me, he simply seems like a horrible person, who is just rude and speaks unkind words; Simon is more likeable in many ways.
Oh, and one more embarrassing thing about the show last time was when Taylor Swift, after her performance with one of the finalists, kept saying "Vote for her" while the votes had already been cast. Com'on, Taylor; it was the result show! Have you even watched the show at all? This clearly tells that Taylor Swift was just faking her enthusiasm about the show and hadn't really watched this program. How funny!
Another thing i must say is about the host. Oh damn; this guy is such a pain in the ass. Were you guys bothered by his constant screaming while talking and his enormously uninteresting utterances? His wit was lame, the speaking wasn't smooth, and Ryan on American Idol is undeniably waaaaaayyyy better. How he handled the show was no better than some of the cheap TV hosts I've seen.
Besides, the performance of the last season's winners was soooooooo plain. I just couldn't believe how they got voted as the winners. I mean, some of the tricks they showed were amazing with their mysterious magic and stuff, but i've seen those so many times. Plus, they so lacked energy on that stage. After all, it was just run-of-the-mill, not the one that's worth one million dollar. And that kind of undermined my opinions about this program.
However, the show finally made some sense when the best man won. The winner was really good and cool; he's incredibly talented.
