Watching the show last night, I couldn't wait to write this post about it.
First, Lady Gaga looked outrageous, as usual, but this time she looked a lot more appropriate and beautiful, I mean, eccentric but amazingly beautiful, interestingly with hardly any skin shown under the dress. Her outfits were immense, making walking up the stage to accept her many awards, with freaking high heels, quite a struggle; her bodyguards needed to hold her up. Plus, she sounded really sweet and sexy when speaking, which is so unlike her when seen in most of her music videos.

Taylor Swift's performance was also quite awesome; a lot of emotion was with her, singing the song and looking mature, which took away her usual, innocent, girly, and lame side of hers. This change really made this one of my favorites on the show. The coolness was also boosted by starting the performance with the highlight of her bitter memories with Kanye West in the last VMA.
And my favorite rock band Linkin Park sang Catalyst, the song that is with some features, I mean the beat, the rythm and everything, that I think are common in many of their first hits and that appear missing in most of their recent songs. I feel my favorite Linkin Park is back.
Oh, and I love the one by Florence and the Machine. It was actually the first time I saw and heard about the band, but the song and how upbeat, bizarre, and cool the performance was really caught me. Just love it; i'm gonna go download the song the minute I have posted this.
And let me give some opinions about some of the dancing on the show. Usher, who I've heard as one of the best dancers around, came and apparently really rocked the VMA stage, but I can't seem to get over the fact that he wasn't as good as he once was. He danced and moved quite like an old man. This clearly didn't expect my expectation, but to be fair; it's still ver good. Watching him perform, it kept occuring to me the curiosity about how great it would be if Usher, Justin Timberlake and Chris Brown would all dance in the same stage; I can't imagine how awesome that'd be. Would love to see who's better. haha :D
